Jeju Island, Korea — Hyundai Motor Co. today launched its Genesis Coupe in the Korean market at an event on Jeju Island attended by members of the Korean and international press. The logical extension of the highly acclaimed Genesis sports sedan launched earlier this year, the Genesis Coupe raises the Hyundai brand's emotional quotient to a new level with its high performance capabilities and front engine rear wheel drive architecture. Namyang, Korea — Hyundai Motor Company's Powertrain R&D Center at Namyang has developed a new high-performance V6 Lambda (λ) RS (Rear wheel drive Sports) engine which will see its first application in the Genesis Coupe to be launched in Korea this month.
Based on the highly successful Lambda first introduced in 2004, the RS edition features several key modifications which have raised power to a maximum of 310 ps @ 6300 rpm (310 hp for US Market) and peak torque to 36.8 kg/m @ 4700 rpm.

New York — Hyundai unveiled Genesis Coupe, the new benchmark for attainable 300-horsepower sport coupes, during a press conference at the New York International Auto Show today. The 2010 Genesis Coupe is a purpose-built rear-wheel drive sport coupe featuring two performance-focused engines — a 212-horsepower (est.), 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a range-topping all-aluminum, 306-horsepower (est.), DOHC 3.8-liter V6 engine. Chicago — GMC unveiled the Denali XT concept at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. It offers a 50-percent increase in combined fuel economy over comparable small pickup trucks when running on gasoline, and it incorporates a new, muscular form in a performance-styled, hybrid sport-utility truck (SUT).
The Denali XT has a unibody architecture and rear-wheel drive, enabling its distinctive design and efficient performance. It builds on the equity of the Denali line and its reputation for advanced engineering and refinement, including the first combination of GM's two-mode hybrid system with an E85 ethanol-capable engine. Fountain Valley, CA — Hyundai aims to shatter premium automobile paradigms with the North American International Auto Show introduction of its new flagship, the all-new Genesis sports sedan on January 13. With capabilities and features comparable to $60,000 premium sedans, Genesis will be offered at a starting price under $30,000 when it goes on sale this summer.
