Chevrolet's New Orlando Family Van Set to Star in Paris

Chevrolet's first entrant into the European MPV/family van segment, the Orlando, will be one of the star attractions at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris on September 30, when the full production model makes its world debut. It will be one of four Chevrolet world premieres at the show.

Based on the show car concept first seen at Paris in 2008, the Chevrolet Orlando is a true family car for the times, combining 7-seater practicality and interior flexibility with striking crossover style design.

Seoul, Korea — GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) today hosted the GM Daewoo “Style, We Create” Next-Generation Vehicle Preview at its Design Center to provide media an exclusive sneak peak at its future design concepts.

The next-generation products shown are a precursor for the design direction of the automaker's future small vehicle, upper-midsize sedan and seven-seat minivan.

The next-generation global small vehicle design, which had never been shown before, represents an important vehicle for the automaker. GM Daewoo is the global development center for GM's small vehicles. (more…)

The Orlando show car is a clear indication that Chevrolet is considering an expansion to its portfolio with a seven-seat multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with distinctive sport-utility-like design, adaptable seating and impressive interior space.

Based on the recently announced all-new Cruze compact sedan, the Orlando show car carries Chevrolet’s signature design language into a new vehicle segment. It explores the potential of combining the versatility attributes of a sport utility, a family van and a wagon in a single execution.
