Tokyo — Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI) unveiled the “Subaru Impreza Concept” today at the Los Angeles Auto Show (Press day: November 17 and 18; Open to the public from November 19 through 28 in the United States).
The Subaru Impreza Concept is the first concept model to be released under Subaru's new brand strategy. Designed to show a possible direction for future Impreza models, it embodies the Subaru brand statement “Confidence in Motion”. The concept expresses the core Subaru brand value of “enjoyment and peace of mind”. The Subaru Impreza Concept fuses a sleek and lean form that exudes dynamism and elegance with a roomy and rich four-seat interior that embodies a safe and comfortable ride. (more…)

Los Angeles — Cadillac today introduced the Urban Luxury Concept, a design study exploring a new type of vehicle that offers a luxury experience in a diminutive size. The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept complements its compact dimensions with the design, features and technology for which Cadillac is known.
“The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept celebrates its scale with intelligent, innovative content that makes it unique regardless of its size,” said Clay Dean, Director of GM North American Advanced Design and Cadillac Brand Champion. “It has a small exterior footprint, but is roomy inside.” (more…)

Los Angeles — Hyundai today introduced its all-new 2011 Sonata at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This marks the North American debut of the latest version of the popular midsize sedan, introducing Hyundai's “Fluidic Sculpture” design language and an all four-cylinder engine lineup to the U.S. market.
Sonata is the second vehicle in Hyundai's 24/7 version 2.0 product initiative (seven new models in the next 24 months) following on the heels of the all-new Tucson. Production of Sonata will begin later this month at Hyundai's U.S. plant in Alabama with retail sales beginning in January. (more…)

Los Angeles — Chevrolet unveils the U.S. production version of the 2011 Cruze compact sedan at the L.A. Auto Show on Dec. 2. It is a global car refined for America, delivering many segment-leading features and details that challenge preconceived notions about what a compact car can be in North America.
The Cruze also affirms Chevrolet's commitment to building refined, fuel-efficient vehicles, with new, small-displacement four-cylinder engines. It is expected to deliver segment-leading fuel economy with a new Ecotec 1.4 L I4 turbo with variable valve timing — including up to 40 mpg on the highway with a high-efficiency model. (more…)
