Buick To Add Fuel Efficient Ecotec 2.4 L Four-Cylinder Engine To All-New 2010 Lacrosse

Detroit — A fuel-efficient, direct injected Ecotec 2.4 L four-cylinder engine will be the third engine offered in the 2010 Buick LaCrosse luxury sedan. Backed by a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission, the new powertrain combination is expected to deliver fuel economy of 30 mpg highway and 20 mpg city* — making LaCrosse one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its segment.

New York — GMC's all-new 2010 Terrain makes its world debut at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. The Terrain is a five-passenger crossover SUV that blends bold styling with fuel efficiency and premium features.

General Motors' Newest Engines Help Save Fuel And Money

Pontiac, MI — Owners of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox crossover will hit the streets next summer in a vehicle equipped with a highly efficient, all-new engine that will help save both fuel and money.

The 2010 Equinox will be offered with a choice of two new direct injected (DI) engines that use less fuel yet make more power — a 2.4 L four-cylinder and a 3.0 L V6. The 2.4 L engine delivers an estimated 30 mpg in highway driving (EPA certification pending), placing the Equinox at the top of its segment in highway mileage. Consumers who drive the 2.4 L-equipped Equinox 15,000 miles per year will save 134 gallons of fuel or about $270 to $400 annually (more…)
