Shanghai — The all-new Buick GL8 from Shanghai GM is now available. The luxury MPV builds on the heritage of the original GL8, China's first family of executive wagons. Since the model's debut in 1999, more than 330,000 have been sold across China.

The new model, which will reach the market in January 2011, features seven innovations and 27 technological breakthroughs along with improvements in design, space and safety, technology, power, features and quality. The result is an unprecedented luxury MPV experience that is unmistakably Buick.

SAIC-GM-Wuling Inaugurates New 300,000-Unit Engine Plant

Liuzhou, China — , GM's mini-vehicle joint venture in the southern Chinese city of Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, inaugurated its new 300,000-unit engine plant today.

The facility, which represents investment of RMB 2 billion, is scheduled to officially begin production of 1.1-liter and 1.2-liter engines in August.

Shanghai, China —  (Shanghai GM) today introduced the newest member of its Buick lineup, the LaCrosse premium sedan. Using the LaCrosse architecture from North America, the vehicle has been engineered and developed specifically for the China market. It has an all-new body, exterior and interior, and unique engine lineup.
