Trollhättan, Sweden — Saab Automobile takes the next step in the biggest new product offensive in its history when the much-awaited 95 SportCombi is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
Sleek and fun-to-drive, the SportCombi adds versatility to the widely acclaimed attributes of the 95 sedan and will bring a distinctive, alternative choice to the premium, large wagon segment.
It shares the sedan's bold, Aero X-inspired looks and features an extended, falling roof-line which culminates in a steeply raked rear screen flanked by signature Saab ‘wraparound’ window glazing. The result is an imposing and sporty wagon with a low stance and a dynamic, visual appeal that concedes nothing to the requirements of load-carrying. (more…)

“The new LaCrosse was created with great attention to detail, craftsmanship and advanced technology,” said Susan Docherty, Buick-Pontiac-GMC vice president. “It builds on the success of Enclave as the next step in Buick's revitalization. Rüsselsheim — Due to be unveiled at Paris Motor Show (October 4–19), Opel's new station wagon offers leading technologies wrapped in a sporty, premium body and reflects this in its name: Insignia Sports Tourer.
The Insignia Sports Tourer, available in European markets in spring 2009, boasts the same athletic, powerful and elegant design as its sedan counterparts. “However,” says Mark Adams, Vice President of GM Europe Design, “this is a stand-alone model and not simply a wagon version of the sedan. In fact, all the bodywork aft of the B-pillar is unique to the Sports Tourer. We've also ensured that its design combines the sculptural artistry and technical precision found in the notch- and hatchback models.” (more…)

London — As workers hauled a 4.7 meter-diameter orb from Potters Fields Park, a massive object fell 45 meters in six seconds and was caught at the last minute, revealing an intact car never seen before by the public — the Opel Insignia.
More than 300 invited guests were on hand to watch the new car plunge from the orb as it was suspended in the air. “We are very proud of the Insignia and decided that an extraordinary car needed an extraordinary entrance. That's why we choose to drop in at one of London's most frequented and iconic locations: Tower Bridge just next to the London Assembly,” says Alain Visser, (more…)
