Nissan Unveils New Global Sedan at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition

Yokohama — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today unveiled an all-new sedan model at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition. Using the famed ‘Sunny’ name in China, this new model will go on sale first in China in January 2011 and then progressively across 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names.

The Nissan Sunny was first introduced in China in 2003 and was significant as the first locally built model from the new Dongfeng Nissan partnership. Acclaimed by consumers for its combination of quality, space and driving performance, the Sunny quickly help establish a foundation for the Nissan brand in the passenger vehicle market in China. Presented today, as a world premier on the Chinese market, to around 300 Chinese journalists and more than 700 network representatives by Jean-Marc Gales the Marque's Managing Director, the new Peugeot 408 marks a further step in the Marque's offensive on the world's foremost automobile market.

Despite being present on the Chinese market for 5 years only, the Peugeot Marque sold over 410 000 vehicles in 2009. This corresponds to a 44% sales increase compared with its 2008 performance.

Following its fine performance in the M1 segment with the success of the 307 saloon and the 307 notch-back, of which 3,522,800 have been produced worldwide (more…)

Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Announces Sales Target of One Million Vehicles by 2012 in Mid-Term Business Plan for China

Beijing — Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL), Nissan's local partner in China, today announced it's 2008 to 2012 mid-term business plan for China focused on building a stronger market position and increased global competitiveness.

The ambitious five-year plan, named Plan 1³ (“one cubed”), expands on the company's previous business blueprint, Plan 2³ (“two cubed”), under which the company doubled sales volume between 2003 and 2007.

Tokyo — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today revealed the new Nissan Teana premium sedan at the 2008 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. Joining the global debut of the Teana in Beijing is the Infiniti EX luxury sport crossover, launching for the first time in China.

Citroën unveiled a new model, the C-Elysée, in Beijing on 8 April 2008. Based on the Elysée, the newcomer benefits from numerous upgrades in terms of styling, quality and technology.

The C-Elysée strengthens the range of models produced in China by Dong Feng Peugeot Citroën Automobiles (DPCA), consisting of the C2, Fukang, Xsara Picasso and C-Triomphe. The range is rounded out by the C4 Coupé, C5 saloon and C6, imported from Europe.

The C-Elysée is immediately recognizable as a new-generation Citroën with its expressive, modern-looking front end. (more…)
