Beijing — SAIC-GM-Wuling introduced the new Wuling Hong Guang compact business vehicle today at Auto China 2010.
The Hong Guang combines an elegant exterior with a truly compact design and a small engine, changing traditional perceptions of compact business vehicles. It is targeted at those who need a business vehicle with outstanding fuel economy and functionality, but at an affordable price.

Beijing — The Chevrolet New Sail family has grown with the introduction of a hatchback and the addition of an electronic manual transmission (EMT). Both the New Sail hatchback and a New Sail sedan equipped with the EMT are being shown at Auto China 2010 in advance of their introduction to the market by Shanghai GM in June.
“The New Sail has set a new standard for its segment, raising the bar for safety, convenience, quality and overall value for money since its launch in January,” according to Shanghai GM President Ding Lei. “The addition of a hatchback and the EMT transmission will give consumers a greater choice in the domestic small car segment.” (more…)

Beijing — Chevrolet has made a major commitment to providing world-class, fuel-efficient vehicles to its customers around the world. In recent months, through GM's Shanghai GM joint venture, Chevrolet has introduced the fuel-efficient Cruze and New Sail in China. It will introduce the Volt electric vehicle with extended range capability in 2011.
In preparation for the Volt's arrival, Chevrolet is leveraging Auto China 2010, which starts today in Beijing, to introduce the Volt MPV5 electric concept. The five-passenger multi-purpose crossover concept demonstrates the potential of the Voltec propulsion system by utilizing the same foundation as the Volt, for gas- and tailpipe emissions-free electric driving. Making its global debut at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, the Ford Start Concept is more than simply a design exploration into the feasibility of a small car. It also demonstrates how Ford will extend the promise of its EcoBoost engine technology story even further — previewing a fuel-efficient petrol Ford EcoBoost engine with just three cylinders and 1.0 liter of displacement, yet the power of a larger, 1.6-liter I4 engine.
