The Stylish New Honda City Sweeps In

The all-new Honda City will make its European debut at the Istanbul Motor Show in October.

The compact sedan is a radical departure from the previous generation car, with a totally new exterior style, featuring some visual elements of the stylish Accord. The restyled exterior is joined by a new 1.4 i-VTEC engine, which gives the City significantly more power and better performance.

The new engine, which is also shared with the new Jazz is fitted with Honda's acclaimed i-VTEC system, which provides excellent performance and flexibility, without compromising fuel economy or emissions. (more…)

Fuji Heavy Industries Will Unveil Subaru Forester and Impreza Models with Subaru Boxer Diesel at the 2008 Paris Motor Show

Tokyo — Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, today announced that it will exhibit its Forester and Impreza models equipped with Subaru Boxer Diesel at the Mondiale de l'Automobile (Paris Motor Show), which will open its doors to the public from October 4 through 19, 2008 (press days on October 2 and 3). The Forester 2.0D and Impreza 2.0D models will be on sale in Europe after this autumn. In addition to the Legacy and Outback models, already available with the Boxer Diesel, Subaru has strengthened its diesel model lineup to meet a wider array of customers' needs in the European market. New Focus RS: Ford of Europe's Ultimate Performance Car

Cologne — The legendary Ford RS performance car brand is back and faster than ever. The stunning new 2009 Focus RS is previewed at Paris, while development work has confirmed it as the fastest ever European Ford production car.

Ford is confirming performance target figures for Focus RS as 0–100 km/h in under 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h or more.

However, for Team RS engineers, headed by Ford of Europe's Vehicle Line Director for Performance Vehicles, Jost Capito, this is only part of the story.

Said Capito: “We believe the new Focus RS will change expectations of a front-wheel-drive high performance car in the way it translates its power into precision, driveability, traction and performance. (more…)

Honda to Display Concept Model of All-New Insight Dedicated Hybrid Vehicle Scheduled for Release in 2009 at Paris Motor Show

Tokyo, Japan — Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it will display the concept model of its all-new Insight dedicated hybrid vehicle at the 2008 Paris Motor Show (October 2–19; Press Days: October 2–3). Honda is introducing the advanced Insight to meet the needs of customers in a new era of widespread demand for hybrid vehicles.

The name Insight was chosen to denote Honda's “insight” into a new era in which hybrid vehicles come within reach of most car buyers.

A five-door, five-passenger compact hatchback, the new Insight will feature an innovative new platform in which the battery and control unit are located beneath the cargo space (more…)
